Design
Apple’s AirPods Max features noise cancellation, transparency mode, and adaptive EQ. Max is the first Apple-produced over-ear headphones. AirPods Max also comes in silver, sky blue, green, and pink. Because they are made of stainless steel, the headphones can feel rather heavy. The headphones weigh about 385g which can feel daunting if worn casually. Its design can be seen as stylish, but minimalistic.
Techradar reports, “To offset that added weight, the Apple AirPods Max come with a headband made from a knitted mesh fabric that’s designed to reduce on-head pressure.” The frame is also intact and sturdy. Its memory foam earcups are also comfortable. Listeners can move them so they rest on the head well.
Audio
Techradar also wrote, “You can simply turn the dial on the top of the right earcup to adjust the volume, or press once to play/pause your music, press once to answer and end phone calls, press twice to skip to the next track, and press three times to skip backward.”
One of its best features is the ability to change from noise cancellation to transparency mode. The right earcup has a built-in mode designed to change between the two. It allows listeners to hear their environment if needed. The headphones come with a well-designed sound that can pick up even minute details in a song.
The device automatically pauses when you take it off as well, making it a champion for its listeners. Released as part of iOS 14, spatial audio works for content designed for Dolby Atmos.
It creates a unique way to watch movies or listen to music because it allows sound to be interpreted as objects. Atmos positions sound to make it feel like it’s physically all around its listeners.
